Throughout his life, Sudhir Choudhrie has learned to be grateful. His life experiences have made this Delhi-born businessman and philanthropist view life from an angle of gratitude. Since he was eight years old, Sudhir Choudhrie lived with a heart with a leaking valve. The condition put him in a disadvantaged position because a time came when he experienced two heart attacks. Just when he was on the verge of giving up, a donor was found in 1999 and with the help of Dr. Mehmet Oz. Sudhir Choudhrie can count himself as one of the luckiest people because when he had just a few hours to live, a donor was found. For 22 years now, Choudhrie has led a healthy life after the life-changing heart transplant.
For Sudhir Choudhrie, philanthropy comes naturally. When he was on the verge of death, it is the goodwill of others that saved his life. For this reason, he takes part in several philanthropic ventures, with the most notable one being offering support to patients in need of organ donors. He not only facilitates organ donation but also provides psychological support to organ transplant patients. Also, Choudhrie is a part of Columbia University Medical Center.
